THE STUDY OF THE YEAR 2011
At the meeting of endgame study subcommittee
were present David Gurgenidze (spokesman),
Oleg Pervakov, Ilham Aliev and Marcel van Herck. During the meeting they discussed two subjects. First was the Study of the Year 2011. Harold van der Heijden, spokesman of endgame study subcommittee wasn't present in Kobe, Japan, so no one had prepared the candidates for the Study of the Year 2011, which should have been selected during the congress.
Endgame study subcommittee discussed this subject and it proposes:
Every chess composer will be able to send one popular study published in 2011 to David Gurgenidze's email gurgenidze53@mail.ru before the December 1st. Studies will be published on Iuri Akobia's website http://akobiachess.gol.ge Then four members of endgame study subcommittee and Harold van der Heijden will judge every study and announce The Study of the Year 2011 on December 20th.
NOTE: Studies - candidates may be recommended not only by their authors, this can do other person too.
