THE STUDY OF THE YEAR 2012

dawn

“The Study of the Year “is aimed at introducing to the general public a single friendly endgame study that would hopefully appeal to chess players of all levels and encourage them to pay a deeper and more frequent attention to our art on a more regular basis. Composers are invited to pick up just one study (either their own or by others), published (informal tourneys) or judged (formal tourneys) during the year 2012 and send it before December 1st 2013 to David Gurgenidze by e-mail: gurgenidze53@mail.ru . All candidates will be published on
Iuri Akobia’
s website http://akobiachess.gol.ge . An International panel (members: D. Gurgenidze, O. Pervakov, G. Costeff, I. Aliev and H. van der Heijden) will judge the candidates and announce The Study of the Year 2012 on the very same website by December 20th 2013.

NOTE: Studies - candidates may be recommended not only by their authors, this can do other person too.
