GEORGIAN COMPOSITION TOURNAMENTS - part 1
Study Tournament AKOBIA 75 JT New
International Judge for the studies IURI AKOBIA
The Commission of Chess Composition of Georgia announces a anonymous composition tourney (studies) to commemorate the 75th birthday of Iuri Akobia.
The competition has two sections:
1. No set theme.
2. Rook studies with some quiet moves.
Twin studies not allowed (in both section).
The judge will be I.Akobia himself.
Director (Associate Judge): Mario Guido Garcia (Argentina).
Prizes, special prizes, honourable mentions and commendations will be awarded.
Entries should be with the name of the composer(s), diagram and solution (formats:PGN, DOC, PDF etc.)

Study Tournament NONA 2010
The five-times winner of the Women's World Championship
IGM Nona Gaprindashvili
The Georgian Chess Club NTN (Nona, Tigran, Nana) announces a traditional International Composing Tournament (studies) NONA 2010, which is enclosed in program of chess festival in honor of IGM Nona Gaprindashvili. The organizer of the tournament is – Nana Aleksandria.
The theme is free. No more than three studies will be accepted from each participant. There will be prize, honorable and commendation nominations. Works of young authors not above 25 years (young authors should specify a date of birth) will be separately nominated. The given section of tournament appears as traditional.
Diredtor: Iuri Akobia (will not participate as author or judge).
Judge: David Gurgenidze.
The Director will send all studies to the judge on standardised anonymous diagrams.
